School Council

Hillside Avenue School Council

The School Council consists of 26 children aged from to 5 to 11years old. Once a year each class elects a boy and a girl to represent them. The School Council meets weekly to discuss and make decisions on issues raised by individual class councils.

To date the School Council have been involved in decisions about play equipment, school dinners, making our environment cleaner, fundraising days for charities and lost property.

Representatives of Hillside School Council visited Brundall Primary School. They met with representatives from the other cluster schools to discuss measures their schools take to care for the environment.

The children looked at the school’s energy efficiency certificate and have taken energy saving ideas back to school to share. They have promised to meet again at the same time next year, to see if they have managed to improve the school’s energy efficiency.
