Admissions to school

In accordance with the Local Authority Admission Policy, children are admitted to school in September of the school year in which they reach their fifth birthday. Those children who are born between 1st September and the end of February attend full-time throughout the year and those children born between 1st March and 31st August attend part-time during the Autumn Term and full-time from the start of the Spring Term.

We hold open days in November each year for parents to look round our school.

Parents need to apply for a reception place for their child by the end of December using the application form in the County brochure or using the online form. The local authority will notify parents if their child is being offered a place in school by the end of April. Read More online.

Should the school admission number be exceeded by requests for places, the Local Education Authority will apply the criteria as set out in their “Information for Parents” booklet.
