Key Stage Two
Welcome to Key Stage 2
Key stage Two runs from Year Three through to Year Six. In Key Stage Two children are usually able to write more extensive pieces of work and concentrate longer on tasks but we still try to make learning active and engaging. They usually have their maths and English lessons in the morning and other areas of learning in the afternoons. Other subjects are integrated into cross-curricular enquiries so that children can study questions in more depth and apply their thinking and creative skills. Special events, day visits and visitors coming into school enhance children’s learning. In Years Five and Six children have the opportunity to go on residential trips to North Norfolk and Wales.

We teach three European languages, Spanish in year three, German in year Four and French in years Five and Six. All children in year three learn to play the recorder and from Year Four some children learn another instrument. Children have opportunities to join in a wide range of lunchtime and after school clubs.
