This model helps to explain the vision and values of the school. 

The outer ring represents the safe and supportive learning environment in the school. We put a great deal of effort into making sure that each classroom is a calm and purposeful space in which every child can learn and make progress. We understand that reducing the visual and cognitive demand on children through display boards with muted backing paper on, visual timetables and reduced distractions helps all children to learn. These principles underpin the design of the classrooms. Around the school we aim for corridors to be clutter free, clean and safe so that all children can move around the school with confidence. 

The three parts of the inner ring represent the culture that we are aiming to create and maintain. Mental health and wellbeing are critically important, as without these, no learning can take place. We support this through our ELSA and Drawing and Talking trained staff and our trauma informed approach too. We prioritise the building of positive relationships between all stakeholders which enable school staff to meet the individual needs of the children and families as required. Our approach to behaviour is rooted in the teaching of Norfolk Steps and also prioritises relationships as well as consistency and restoration too. Our assemblies teach tolerance, respect and understanding which supports the development of the children's character. Creativity is possible when children feel safe to be curious, take on challenges and have the resilience to bounce back from unsuccessful attempts. Our wider curriculum promotes this through stage performances and our dedication to music through individual lessons and musical ensembles. 

At the centre of the school's vision is the understanding that outcomes matter at school. Everything that we do in school is contributing to help the children to achieve their best possible outcomes and then move on to the next stage in their education with confidence, knowledge and resilience. This can take many forms and can be developed in many different ways. One key indicator is the outcomes that they achieve in their KS2 SATs. We are a school that strives to create confident, knowledgeable and resilient children who are able to achieve high outcomes at the end of Year 6. They are two sides of the same coin.
