We want our children to develop a healthy understanding of relationships, by exploring and discussing how we relate to one another in our families, friendships, in the wider community and online. We want every child to feel confident and proud of who they are, and to be respectful of others. 

All year groups learn about and discuss healthy relationships in an age-appropriate way, while sex education is taught within the Science and the Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) part of the Personal Social Health and Citizenship Education (PSHCE) curriculum in Years 4, 5, and 6. The scheme of work used has been presented to the Governing Body and approved.

Parents can request to see the programmes that support this area of the children’s work. Children can be withdrawn from those parts not covered by the National Curriculum.
